The Comet (Al-Taareq)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the Sky and the Night-Visitant (therein);- 1 And have you understood what the nightly arriver is? 2 It is the star that pierces through [life's] darkness: 3 [for] no human being has ever been left unguarded. 4 LET MAN, then, observe out of what he has been created: 5 he was created of gushing water 6 That issueth from between the loins and the breast-bones. 7 Now, verily, He [who thus creates man in the first instance] is well able to bring him back [to life] 8 upon the day when the secrets are tried, 9 Then will he have no might nor any helper. 10 By the heaven which returneth, 11 by earth splitting with verdure, 12 Indeed, the Qur'an is a decisive statement, 13 And no trifle. 14 They (disbelievers) plot every evil plan, 15 and so am I: 16 So leave the unbelievers to themselves; respite them awhile. 17
