▼ 55 The All Compassionate
Al-Rahman 3 of 3
And for he who fears the standing (before) his Lord there are two Gardens. 46 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 47 These Gardens will abound in green, blooming branches. 48 Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? 49 Therein are two running fountains. 50 Which, then, of your Sustainer's powers can you disavow? 51 In both of them are two pairs of every fruit. 52 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? 53 They will recline upon carpets lined with rich brocade; and the fruits of both these gardens will be within easy reach. 54 So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? 55 In them shall be those who restrained their eyes; before them neither man nor jinni shall have touched them. 56 O which of your Lord's bounties will you and you deny? 57 As though they are jacinth and coral. 58 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 59 Should the reward of goodness be aught else but goodness? -- 60 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny? 61 And below them both [in excellence] are two [other] gardens - 62 jinn and mankind - which of the favors of your Lord would you then deny 63 Densely covered with foliage, appearing dark. 64 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 65 In which will be two fountains gushing forth. 66 Which, then, of your Sustainer's powers can you disavow? 67 In them (both) will be fruits, and date- palms and pomegranates. 68 Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? 69 There will be well-disciplined, beautiful maidens. 70 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 71 [There the blest will live with their] companions pure and modest, in pavilions [splendid] 72 How many favours of your Lord will you then deny? -- 73 untouched by jinn or mankind before. 74 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 75 Reclining on green cushions and rich carpets excellent. 76 Which of the favours of your Lord will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 77 Blessed be the name of your Lord, the Lord of Majesty and Glory. 78
