The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By the heaven adorned with big stars. 1 And by the Promised Day. 2 And the bearer of witness and those against whom the witness is borne. 3 (Self-)destroyed were the owners of the ditch 4 Fire supplied (abundantly) with fuel: 5 when they were seated around it 6 and were witnessing what they did to the believers. 7 They had nothing against them, except that they believed in Allah, the All-Mighty, Worthy of all Praise! 8 [and] to whom the dominion of the heavens and the earth belongs. But God is witness unto everything! 9 Indeed, those who have tortured the believing men and believing women and then have not repented will have the punishment of Hell, and they will have the punishment of the Burning Fire. 10 As for the righteously striving believers, they will live in Paradise wherein streams flow. This is the greatest triumph. 11 The vengeance of God is terribly severe. 12 It is He who originates and repeats. 13 And He alone is truly-forgiving, all-embracing in His love, 14 Lord of the Throne of Glory, 15 and the Most Effective in His decision. 16 Hast thou received the story of the hosts, 17 [Those of] Pharaoh and Thamud? 18 Nay! The disbelievers (persisted) in denying (Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) and his Message of Islamic Monotheism). 19 And Allah encompasses them from behind! (i.e. all their deeds are within His Knowledge, and He will requite them for their deeds). 20 Indeed, this is a Glorious Koran, 21 (Inscribed) in Al-Lauh Al-Mahfuz (The Preserved Tablet)! 22
