The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By the sky, (displaying) the Zodiacal Signs; 1 And [by] the promised Day 2 And by the witnessing day (i.e. Friday), and by the witnessed day [i.e. the day of 'Arafat (Hajj) the ninth of Dhul-Hijjah]; 3 The companions of the pit were killed 4 Full of fire fed by faggots, 5 Lo! [With glee do] they contemplate that [fire,] 6 Witnessing what they had done to the believers! 7 They took revenge on them only because they believed in the All-mighty, the Al-laudable, 8 Him to Whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth! And Allah is Witness to all things. 9 Those who persecute the believing men and women without repenting will suffer the torment of hell and that of the burning fire. 10 Indeed those who believed and did good deeds – for them are Gardens beneath which rivers flow; this is the great success. 11 Verily, (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) the Grip (Punishment) of your Lord is severe. 12 Verily He! He it is who beginneth and repeateth it. 13 And He is Oft-Forgiving, full of love (towards the pious who are real true believers of Islamic Monotheism), 14 in sublime almightiness enthroned, 15 and the Most Effective in His decision. 16 Has not there come to you the story of the hosts, 17 of the Pharaoh and Thamud? 18 In fact the disbelievers are in denial. 19 However, God encompassed their activities. 20 It is indeed a glorious Quran, 21 (Inscribed) in a Tablet Preserved! 22
