The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)

In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful

I swear by the runners breathing pantingly, 1 Striking sparks of fire (by their hooves), 2 And scouring to the raid at dawn, 3 Raising clouds of dust, 4 dividing the gathering. 5 Indeed man is very ungrateful towards his Lord. 6 And is himself witness to it, 7 And lo! in the love of wealth he is violent. 8 ۞ Is he not aware that when whatever lies (buried) in the graves is overthrown; 9 And the secrets of the hearts exposed, 10 Verily, that Day (i.e. the Day of Resurrection) their Lord will be Well-Acquainted with them (as to their deeds), (and will reward them for their deeds). 11

True are the words of God the Almighty.
