Pray, (O Muhammad): "My Lord, if You should bring the scourge of which they had been warned in my presence, 93 My Lord! then set me not among the wrongdoing folk. 94 And most surely We are well able to make you see what We threaten them with. 95 (O Muhammad)! Repel evil in the best manner. We are well aware of all that they say about you. 96 And say "O my Lord! I seek refuge with Thee from the suggestions of the Evil Ones. 97 And I seek refuge in You, my Lord, lest they be present with me." 98 lt ceaseth not until when death cometh to one of them, and he saith: my Lord! send me back. 99 That I may work righteously in that which I have left. By no means! It is but a word he uttereth; and before them is a barrier until the Day when they shall be raised. 100 Then when the Trumpet is blown there will be no lineage among them that Day, nor will they ask of each other. 101 Then he whose scales are heavy -- they are the prosperers, 102 And he whose balances shall be light - these are they who have lost themselves; in Hell they are abiders. 103 the fire will scorch their faces, and they will abide therein with their lips distorted in pain. 104 Were not My communications recited to you? But you used to reject them. 105 They will say, "Our Lord, our wretchedness overcame us, and we were a people astray. 106 "Our Lord! Bring us out of this; if ever we return (to evil), then indeed we shall be Zalimun: (polytheists, oppressors, unjust, and wrong-doers, etc.)." 107 Allah will say: "Away from Me; stay where you are and do not address Me. 108 Indeed, there was a party of My servants who said, 'Our Lord, we have believed, so forgive us and have mercy upon us, and You are the best of the merciful.' 109 But ye chose them for a laughing-stock until they caused you to forget remembrance of Me, while ye laughed at them. 110 Lo! I have rewarded them this day forasmuch as they were steadfast in that they, even they, are the triumphant. 111 Then Allah will ask them: "For how many years did you stay on earth?" 112 They will say: We tarried a day or part of a day, but ask those who keep account. 113 [Whereupon] He will say: "You have spent there but a short while: had you but known [how short it was to be]! 114 "Did ye then think that We had created you in jest, and that ye would not be brought back to Us (for account)?" 115 So Exalted be Allah, the True King, La ilaha illa Huwa (none has the right to be worshipped but He), the Lord of the Supreme Throne! 116 He who invokes any other god along with Allah " one for whom he has no evidence" his reckoning is with his Lord alone. Indeed, these unbelievers shall not prosper. 117 And say, (O Muhammad): "My Lord, forgive us and have mercy on us, for You are the Best of those that are merciful." 118
