The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Woe unto every slanderer, traducer, 1 [Woe unto him who amasses wealth and counts it a safeguard, 2 thinking that his property will make him live forever. 3 Nay, he shall be thrown into the Crusher. 4 Would that you understood what that crushing torment is like. 5 (It is) the Fire of (the Wrath of) Allah kindled (to a blaze), 6 Which will climb on to the hearts. 7 Verily, it shall be closed in on them, 8 In extended columns. 9

True are the words of God the Almighty.
