The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful

Woe to every scorner and mocker 1 Who accumulated wealth and hoarded it, counting. 2 thinking that his wealth will make him live forever! 3 Nay, but verily he will be flung to the Consuming One. 4 How will you comprehend what Hutama is? 5 It is a Fire kindled by God. 6 Which rises above the hearts. 7 verily, it will close in upon them 8 In pillars stretched forth (i.e. they will be punished in the Fire with pillars, etc.). 9

Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
