We certainly bestowed Our favor upon Moses and Aaron 114 And We saved them and their people from the great affliction, 115 And We succoured them so that they became overcomers. 116 And We gave them both the Book that made (things) clear. 117 And We guided them to the Straight Way. 118 And We kept their praise among the latter generations. 119 'Peace be upon Moses and, Aaron!' 120 Verily, thus do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers - see V. 2:112). 121 Indeed they are two of Our high ranking, firmly believing bondmen. 122 Verily Elias is one of the apostles. 123 when he spoke [thus] to his people: "Will you not remain conscious of God? 124 “What! You worship Baal (an idol) and leave the Best Creator?” – 125 God, your Lord, and the Lord of your fathers?" 126 But they gave him the lie: and therefore they will most surely be arraigned [on Judgment Day,] 127 except the sincere worshipers of Allah. 128 and him We left thus to be remembered among later generations: 129 Peace be on Elias. 130 Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good. 131 He was one of Our believing servants. 132 And verily, Lout (Lot) was one of the Messengers. 133 [So mention] when We saved him and his family, all, 134 except for an old woman who remained behind. 135 Then We utterly destroyed the rest of them. 136 You pass by (their habitations) in the morning 137 and night: will you not take heed? 138
