Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)
26 verses, revealed in Mecca after Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat) before The Cave (Al-Kahf)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
Hast thou received the story of the Enveloper? 1 Many faces will be contrite on that day, 2 be toiling and worn-out; 3 The while they enter the Blazing Fire,- 4 given to drink from a boiling spring. 5 They will have no food except bitter thorn, 6 Neither nourishing nor banishing hunger. 7 Many a face will be in serenity on that day. 8 well pleased with the result of their striving, 9 in a sublime garden, 10 Where they shall hear no (word) of vanity: 11 Therein shall be a spring running! 12 Therein shall be couches elevated! 13 Goblets placed (ready), 14 cushions ranged, 15 and well spread carpets. 16 Will they not then consider the camels, how they are created? 17 And the heaven, how it is raised? 18 And the mountains, how they were fixed; 19 And the earth, how it is spread? 20 Admonish thou then; thou art but an admonisher. 21 you are not their keeper. 22 But whoever turns back and disbelieves, 23 him will God cause to suffer the greatest suffering [in the life to come]: 24 for behold, unto Us will be their return, 25 and then it is for Us to call them to account. 26
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
