The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By the sky, (displaying) the Zodiacal Signs; 1 And by the Promised Day. 2 And the witness and the witnessed, 3 Woe to the makers of the pit (of fire), 4 of fire fiercely burning [for all who have attained to faith]! 5 When they sat by it, 6 and were witnessing what they did to the believers. 7 whom they hate for no other reason than that they believe in God, the Almighty, the One to whom all praise is due, 8 and the One to whom belongs the heavens and the earth. God is the Witness of all things. 9 Those who persecute the believers, men and women, and then have not repented, there awaits them the chastisement of Gehenna, and there awaits them the chastisement of the burning. 10 For those who believe and do righteous deeds, will be Gardens; beneath which rivers flow: That is the great Salvation, (the fulfilment of all desires), 11 The vengeance of God is terribly severe. 12 Lo! He it is Who produceth, then reproduceth, 13 And He is the Forgiving, the Affectionate, 14 Owner of the Throne, the Exalted. 15 Always doing whatever He wills. 16 Has the story of the armies reached you, 17 the armies of Pharaoh and Thamud? 18 And yet the Unbelievers (persist) in rejecting (the Truth)! 19 While Allah encompasses them from behind. 20 This is indeed the glorious Qur'an 21 (Preserved) on the guarded tablet. 22
