The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By the heaven and the Morning Star 1 and what could make you know what it is that comes in the night? 2 It is the star that shines with a piercing brightness -- 3 There is not a soul that does not have a guardian over it. 4 So man must consider from what he has been created. 5 He is created from a gushing fluid 6 That issueth from between the loins and the breast-bones. 7 Lo! He verily is Able to return him (unto life) 8 On the Day when secrets are disclosed, 9 and he shall have no strength, no helper. 10 By the sky which returns [rain] 11 and the replenishing earth, 12 this (Qur'an) is surely a decisive Word, 13 and is no idle tale. 14 Lo! they plot a plot (against thee, O Muhammad) 15 And I am planning a scheme. 16 Let, then, the deniers of the truth have their will: let them have their will for a little while. 17
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
