The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By the angels who drag forth vehemently. 1 And who softly release the soul. (Of the believer) 2 by the swimmers (angels) swimming gently 3 by the angels who hasten along 4 and by the angels who regulate the affairs, (you will certainly be resurrected). 5 The Day when the quaking will cause a violent convulsion, 6 Followed by the second blast, 7 (Some) hearts that Day will shake with fear and anxiety. 8 [and] their eyes downcast... 9 They say: "Shall we go back to our original state 10 Even if we should be decayed bones? 11 They say: "It would, in that case, be a return with loss!" 12 Surely it will need but one shout, 13 When, behold, they will be in the (full) awakening (to Judgment). 14 Did the news of Moosa reach you? 15 How his Lord called him in the holy vale of Tuwa, 16 [saying], "Go to Pharaoh, he has exceeded all bounds, 17 And say, "Hast thou the will to purify thyself; 18 Then I will guide thee to thy Lord and thou shalt fear (Him). 19 And thereupon he [went to Pharaoh and] made him aware of the great wonder [of God's grace]. 20 In response, he denied and disobeyed. 21 He then turned away, striving in his effort. 22 then, he gathered, proclaimed, 23 Then he said: I am your lord, the most high. 24 Wherefore Allah laid hold of him with the punishment of the Hereafter and of the present. 25 Verily, in this is an instructive admonition for whosoever fears Allah. 26
