The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By the morning brightness 1 By the night when it darkeneth, 2 your Lord has not forsaken you (Prophet Muhammad), nor does He hate you. 3 And verily the latter portion will be better for thee than the former, 4 Your Lord will soon grant you sufficient favors to please you. 5 Found He not thee an orphan, so He sheltered thee? 6 Did He not find thee erring, and guide thee? 7 And find you in want and make you to be free from want? 8 Therefore, be not harsh with the orphan; 9 And repulse not the beggar; 10 But as for the favor of your Lord, report [it]. 11
