Q (Qaaf)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
Qaf. By the glorious Qur'an. 1 But they wonder that there has come to them a Warner from among themselves. So the Unbelievers say: "This is a wonderful thing! 2 What, when we are dead and become dust? That is a far returning!' 3 We know what the earth diminishes of them, and with Us is a retaining record. 4 But they deny the Truth when it comes to them: so they are in a confused state. 5 What, have they never observed the heaven above them, (and seen) how We built and adorned it, leaving no crack? 6 And the earth - We have spread it wide, and set upon it mountains firm, and caused it to bring forth plants of all beauteous kinds, 7 An insight and a Reminder for every slave turning to Allah (i.e. the one who believes in Allah and performs deeds of His obedience, and always begs His pardon). 8 We have sent blessed water down from the sky to grow gardens, harvestable crops 9 And lofty palm trees having fruit arranged in layers - 10 a provision for the servants, and thereby We revived a land that was dead. Even so is the coming forth. 11 Before them, the people of Noah and the people of Rass denied this truth; and so did the people of Thamud. 12 And 'Aad and Pharaoh and the brothers of Lot 13 and the dwellers of the wooded dales [of Madyan,] and the people of Tubba: they all gave the lie to the apostles - and thereupon that whereof I had warned [them] came true. 14 Could We, then, be [thought of as being] worn out by the first creation? Nay - but some people are [still] lost in doubt about [the possibility of] a new creation! 15
