The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the forenoon (after sun-rise); 1 and the night when it grows still and dark. 2 Thy Sustainer has not forsaken thee, nor does He scorn thee: 3 And indeed the latter is better for you than the former. 4 And verily, your Lord will give you (all i.e. good) so that you shall be well-pleased. 5 Did He not find you an orphan and give [you] refuge? 6 Did He not find you wandering, and give you guidance? 7 And He found thee destitute, so He enriched thee. 8 Do not oppress the orphan, 9 and him that seeks [thy] help shalt thou never chide, 10 and proclaim the bounty of your Lord. 11
