Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

YOU ARE OBSESSED by greed for more and more 1 Until ye come to the graves. 2 Nay, in time you will come to understand! 3 Indeed you will come to know soon. 4 Nay, would that you knew with certainty of knowledge (what your attitude will lead to, you would never have acted the way you do). 5 You have indeed to behold Hell; 6 Then you will surely see it with the eye of certainty. 7 Then, shall ye be questioned that Day about the joy (ye indulged in!). 8

Almighty Allah's Truth.
