Truly it is the revelation of the Lord of all Being, 192 The Trustworthy Spirit brought it down. (Angel Jibreel peace be upon him.) 193 upon thy heart, that thou mayest be one of the warners, 194 in a clear, Arabic tongue. 195 This is (indicated) in the Books of earlier people. 196 Is it not a sign to them that the learned men of the Israelites know it? 197 And had We revealed it unto any of the non-Arabs, 198 and he had recited it to them, they would not have believed in it. 199 Thus have We caused it to enter into the hearts of the guilty. 200 they will not believe in it until they see the grievous punishment. 201 But the (Penalty) will come to them of a sudden, while they perceive it not; 202 and then they will say: 'Shall we be respited' 203 What, do they seek to hasten Our chastisement? 204 Hast thou then seen, if We content them for (long) years, 205 And then what they were promised comes upon them, 206 All that with which they used to enjoy shall not avail them. 207 And We destroyed no township but it had its warners 208 for a reminder, and We never harmed. 209 The satans have not revealed the Quran; 210 Neither would it suit them, nor they can (produce it). 211 Verily far from hearing are they removed. 212 So call thou not upon another god with God, lest thou shouldst be one of those that are chastised. 213 And warn your tribe (O Muhammad SAW) of near kindred. 214 And be kind and humble to the believers who follow you. 215 If they do not obey you, tell them: "I am not responsible for what you do." 216 Have trust in the Mighty, the Merciful, 217 Who seeth thee standing forth (in prayer), 218 And your movements among those who bow in homage to God. 219 He is All-hearing and All-knowing." 220 [And] shall I tell you upon whom it is that those evil spirits descend? 221 They descend upon every calumniator, sinner. 222 Who listens to you (for spreading rumours); but most of them are liars. 223 And as for the poets [they, too, are prone to deceive themselves: and so, only] those who are lost in grievous error would follow them. 224 Do you not see that they wander about bewildered in every valley? 225 And how they say that which they do not? 226 except those who believed and acted righteously and remembered Allah much, and when they themselves were subjected to wrong, they exacted retribution no more than to the extent of the wrong? Soon will the wrong-doers know the end that they shall reach. 227
God the Almighty always says the truth.
