And Aaron indeed had told them beforehand: O my people! Ye are but being seduced therewith, for lo! your Lord is the Beneficent, so follow me and obey my order. 90 They replied: 'We will not stop; we will cling to it until Moses returns to us.' 91 But (Moses) said: "O Aaron, when you saw that they had gone astray, what hindered you 92 “That you did not come after me? So did you disobey my order?” 93 'Son of my mother' he replied, 'Do not seize my beard nor my head. I was afraid that you might say: "You have divided the Children of Israel and did not uphold my word." 94 Musa said: what was thy object, O Samiri? 95 He answered: "I have gained insight into something which they were unable to see: and so I took hold of a handful of the Apostle's teachings and cast it away: for thus has my mind prompted me [to act]." 96 'Depart!' said Moses. 'It shall be thine all this life to cry "Untouchable!" And thereafter a tryst awaits thee thou canst not fail to keep Behold thy god, to whom all the day thou wast cleaving! We will surely burn it and scatter its ashes into the sea. 97 Your God is none else than Allah, beside Whom there is no god. His knowledge embraces everything." 98 Thus We relate to you (O Muhammad SAW) some information of what happened before. And indeed We have given you from Us a Reminder (this Quran). 99 He who turns away from it will surely bear a heavy burden on the Day of Resurrection, 100 As abiders therein. And vile will it be for them on the Day of Judgment as a load! 101 The day the trumpet blast is sounded We shall raise the sinners blind, 102 They shall consult together secretly: You did tarry but ten (centuries). 103 We know well what they will say. The most just among them in the matter will declare: 'You have stayed away but one day' 104
