▼ 55 The All Compassionate
Al-Rahman 3 of 3
Those who fear their Lord will have two gardens 46 Which, then, of the benefits of your Lord will ye twain belie? 47 Of spreading branches. 48 Which, then, of the benefits of your Lord will ye twain belie? 49 With two springs of water flowing through them both. -- 50 So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? 51 In them (both) will be every kind of fruit in pairs. 52 Which, then, of the benefits of your Lord will ye twain belie? 53 [They are] reclining on beds whose linings are of silk brocade, and the fruit of the two gardens is hanging low. 54 Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? 55 Therein shall be those of refraining looks whom before them hath deflowered neither man nor jinn. 56 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 57 lovely as rubies, beautiful as coral -- 58 which, then, of your Sustainer's powers can you disavow? 59 Is there any reward for good other than good? 60 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny? 61 And besides these two, there are two other Gardens (i.e. in Paradise). 62 Which of the favours of your Lord will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 63 Dark-green in colour (from plentiful watering). 64 Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? 65 In the Gardens are two springs, overflowing with abundance. 66 So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? 67 therein fruits, and palm-trees, and pomegranates -- 68 Which of the favours of your Lord will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 69 Therein (gardens) will be fair (wives) good and beautiful; 70 How many favours of your Lord will you then deny? -- 71 Houris (beautiful, fair females) restrained in pavilions; 72 which, then, of your Sustainer's powers can you disavow? 73 Untouched before them by man or jinni - 74 O which of your Lord's bounties will you and you deny? 75 Reclining on green cushions and rich beautiful mattresses. 76 O which of your Lord's bounties will you and you deny? 77 HALLOWED be thy Sustainer's name, full of majesty and glory! 78
True are the words of God the Almighty.
