Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Alif Lam Mim. 1 These are verses of the Wise Book. 2 providing guidance and grace unto the doers of good 3 Those who establish the prayer and give the poor-rate and of the Hereafter are convinced. 4 Those are on [right] guidance from their Lord, and it is those who are the successful. 5 But among men there are some who spend their time in idle diversions only to lead people astray from the path of God, and without knowledge, hold it up to ridicule: for such there is a humiliating punishment in store. 6 And when our verses are recited to him, he turns away arrogantly as if he had not heard them, as if there was in his ears deafness. So give him tidings of a painful punishment. 7 Surely those who believe and do good deeds shall have Gardens of Bliss. 8 To abide therein. It is a Promise of Allah in truth. And He is the All-Mighty, the All-Wise. 9 He created the heavens without any pillars that ye can see; He set on the earth mountains standing firm, lest it should shake with you; and He scattered through it beasts of all kinds. We send down rain from the sky, and produce on the earth every kind of noble creature, in pairs. 10 This is the creation of God. Show me what those whom you consider equal to God have created. In fact, the unjust ones are in plain error. 11
