The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ Certainly will the believers have succeeded: 1 Those who offer their Salat (prayers) with all solemnity and full submissiveness. 2 And who keep aloof from what is vain, 3 And they who are observant of zakah 4 those who safeguard their chastity 5 Save in regard to their spouses and those whom their right hands own: so they are not blameworthy 6 Those who seek beyond that are transgressors. 7 And those who of their trusts and covenant are keepers. 8 And those who are watchful of their acts of prayer. 9 These are the heirs 10 Who shall inherit the Paradise; they shall abide therein. 11 We created man from the finest extract of clay, 12 Then We placed him as a sperm in a firmly established lodging; 13 then We made this drop into a clot, then We made the clot into a lump, then We made the lump into bones, then We clothed the bones with flesh, and then We caused it to grow into another creation. Thus Most Blessed is Allah, the Best of all those that create. 14 Then verily, thereafter, ye are sure to die. 15 Then indeed you, on the Day of Resurrection, will be resurrected. 16 We made several highways one over the other above you. We are not neglectful of creation. 17 And We sent down water from the sky in proper measure, then stored it in the earth; and indeed We are Able to take it away! 18 And by means of this [water] We bring forth for you gardens of date-palms and vines, wherein you have fruit abundant and whereof you eat, 19 And a tree that springeth forth from Mount Sinai that groweth oil and relish for the eaters. 20 And behold, in the cattle [too] there is indeed a lesson for you: We give you to drink of that [milk] which is within their bellies; and you derive many [other] uses from them: for, you eat of their flesh, 21 And on them, as well as in ships, ye ride. 22
