BE CONSTANT in [thy] prayer from the time when the sun has passed its zenith till the darkness of night, and [be ever mindful of its] recitation at dawn: for, behold, the recitation [of prayer] at dawn is indeed witnessed [by all that is holy]. 78 And during a part of the night, pray Tahajjud beyond what is incumbent on you; maybe your Lord will raise you to a position of great glory. 79 And say [in thy prayer]: "O my Sustainer! Cause me to enter [upon whatever I may do] in a manner true and sincere, and cause me to leave [it] in a manner true and sincere, and grant me, out of Thy grace, sustaining strength!" 80 And say: 'The truth has come, and falsehood has vanished away; surely falsehood is ever certain to vanish.' 81 We send down in the Quran that which is healing and a mercy to those who believe; as for the evil-doers, it only increases their loss. 82 And when We bestow favor upon the disbeliever, he turns away and distances himself; and when evil touches him, he is ever despairing. 83 Say: Every one acts according to his manner; but your Lord best knows who is best guided in the path. 84
