▼ 56 The Inevitable
Al-Waaqe'ah 3 of 3
۞ Furthermore I call to witness the setting of the Stars,- 75 And verily that is a mighty oath, if ye but knew! 76 That (this) is indeed a noble Qur'an 77 Kept in a secure Book. 78 Only they can reach it who are clean (of mind). 79 It is a revelation sent down from the Lord of the worlds. 80 What, do you hold this discourse in disdain, 81 You live by calling it a lie. 82 So why was it not, when the soul reaches up to the throat, – 83 the while you are [helplessly] looking on 84 We are closer to him than you, even though you cannot see? 85 So why is it not, that if you are not to be repaid, – 86 do you not restore his soul, if you are truthful? 87 And if the deceased was of those brought near to Allah, 88 There will be peace and plenty, and gardens of tranquility for him. 89 If it is of the people of the right hand, 90 Then upon you is the greetings of peace (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), from those on the right. 91 And if he is one of the rejecters, the erring ones, 92 Then the welcome will be boiling water 93 And a hurling into the blazing fire. 94 Indeed, this is the true certainty, 95 So celebrate with praises the name of thy Lord, the Supreme. 96
True are the words of God the Almighty.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
