The Pharaoh and his people had also received Our warning, 41 but they belied all Our signs so We seized them with the seizing of the Mighty, Powerful. 42 ARE, THEN, those of you who [now] deny the truth better than those others - or have you, perchance, [been promised] immunity in the [ancient] books of [divine] wisdom? 43 Or do they say: “We are a strong legion, strong enough for victory?” 44 The group will soon be routed, and will turn their backs to flee. 45 But nay - the Last Hour is the time when they shall truly meet their fate; and that Last Hour will be most calamitous, and most bitter: 46 Verily, the Mujrimun (polytheists, disbelievers, sinners, criminals, etc.) are in error (in this world) and will burn (in the Hell-fire in the Hereafter). 47 On the Day when they are dragged on their faces into the Fire, (it will be said to them): 'Taste the touch of the Scorching' 48 Surely We have created everything according to a measure. 49 And Our command is but one, as the twinkling of an eye. 50 And certainly We have already destroyed the likes of you, but is there anyone who will mind? 51 And each and everything they have done is noted in (their) Records (of deeds). 52 Every matter, small and great, is on record. 53 [Hence, too,] behold, the God-conscious will find themselves in [a paradise of] gardens and running waters, 54 where they will be honourably seated in the presence of a King, Mighty in Power. 55
