Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ When the sky breaks apart 1 And when the stars have fallen and scattered; 2 And when the seas are erupted 3 And when the graves are overturned. 4 Each soul will know what it had sent ahead and what it had left behind. 5 O human! What has deceived you concerning your Generous Lord 6 who created you, formed you and proportioned you? 7 Into whatsoever form He will, He casteth thee. 8 Nay! but you give the lie to the judgment day, 9 but you should know that there are angelic guards 10 The honourable recorders. 11 and these honorable scribes know whatever you do. 12 Surely the virtuous shall be in Bliss, 13 And indeed the sinners are in hell. 14 which they shall enter on the Day of Judgement, 15 and which they shall not [be able to] evade. 16 They will never be able to escape from it. Would that you knew what the Day of Judgment is! 17 Again, what will explain to thee what the Day of Judgment is? 18 It is the Day when no soul can do a thing for another soul. That Day, the command belongs to Allah. 19
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
