And recite to them the news of Abraham. 69 When he said to his father and his people, "What do you worship?" 70 They replied: "We worship idols and are devoted to them." 71 He asked them, "Can the idols hear you when you pray to them 72 or benefit you or do you harm?" 73 They said: Nay, we found our fathers doing so. 74 Abraham said, "Have you really thought about what you have been worshipping, 75 and what your grandfathers worshipped 76 Surely they are enemies to me, but not (so) the Lord of the worlds; 77 Who created me and Who guides me; 78 Who gives me food and drink, 79 and, whenever I am sick, heals me, 80 "And Who will cause me to die, and then will bring me to life (again); 81 and who I am eager shall forgive me my offence on the Day of Doom. 82 "O my Lord! bestow wisdom on me, and join me with the righteous; 83 "And give me proper fame among the succeeding generations." 84 "And make me among the inheritors of the Gardens of serenity." 85 "And forgive my father - he is indeed astray." 86 and do not disgrace me on the Day when all people are resurrected, 87 the day when neither wealth nor sons shall profit 88 Save him who bringeth unto Allah a whole heart. 89 And the Garden will be brought nigh for those who ward off (evil). 90 And Hell is brought near to the perverse' 91 And it shall be said to them: Where are those that you used to worship; 92 beside Allah? Can they be of any help to you, or even be of any help to themselves?" 93 And they will be pitched into it, they and the perverse 94 and so too the hosts of Iblis, all of them. 95 There they will quarrel with one another and the erring ones will say (to their deities): 96 "By Allah, we were indeed in manifest error 97 When we equalled you with the Lord of the worlds. 98 "'And our seducers were only those who were steeped in guilt. 99 Now we have none to intercede for us, 100 "'Nor a single friend to feel (for us). 101 Would that we might return again, and be among the believers' 102 Surely there is a Sign in this, but most of them would not believe. 103 And verily, your Lord! He is truly the All-Mighty, the Most Merciful. 104

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
