Al-Takaathur
Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)
8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
Greed for more and more distracted you [from God] 1 Until you confronted the graves. 2 No! You are going to know. 3 Then no! You are going to know. 4 Lo! would that ye knew now with the surety of knowledge! 5 Surely ye shall behold the Scorch. 6 Then you will see it with the eye of certainty. 7 Then, on that Day, you shall be asked about the delight (you indulged in, in this world)! 8
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
