S (Saad)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
Saad* – By oath of the renowned Qur’an, (Alphabet of the Arabic language; Allah and to whomever He reveals, know their precise meanings.) 1 nay, but the unbelievers glory in their schism. 2 How many generations We have destroyed before them! And they cried out when it was too late to escape. 3 They marvel now that, from among themselves, a warner has come to them. The unbelievers say: 'This is a lying sorcerer. 4 Maketh he the gods One God? Verily that is a thing astounding! 5 And the Council of them depart, saying 'Go! Be steadfast to your gods; this is a thing to be desired. 6 We have not heard of any such thing in the old religion. This is nothing but a fabrication. 7 Has the reminder been revealed to him from among us? Nay! they are in doubt as to My reminder. Nay! they have not yet tasted My chastisement! 8 Or have they the treasures of the Mercy of your Lord, the All-Mighty, the Real Bestower? 9 Do they own the heavens and the earth and all that is between them? Let them try on their own to block (the ways of heavens so that Our revelations cannot come to you). 10 [They are but] soldiers [who will be] defeated there among the companies [of disbelievers]. 11 To the truth gave the lie aforetime Noah's people, and [the tribe of] Ad, and Pharaoh of the [many] tent-poles, 12 And [the tribe of] Thamud and the people of Lot and the companions of the thicket. Those are the companies. 13 Not one of them but belied the Messengers, therefore My Torment was justified, 14
