No, by the moon! 32 And by the Night as it retreateth, 33 And by the dawn when it brightens, 34 surely (Hell) is one of the greatest Signs, 35 As a warning to humanity - 36 Whoever of you desires to progress or lag behind. 37 Every soul is held in pledge for what it earns, 38 Except the Companions of the Right Hand. 39 In Gardens, they seek answers, 40 From the guilty. 41 "What was it that brought you to Hell?" 42 They said, “We never used to offer the prayer.” 43 we fed not the needy, 44 And plunged into useless things with those who were obstinate, 45 and belied the Day of Recompense 46 "Until there came to us (the Hour) that is certain." 47 The intercession of the intercessors shall then be of no avail to them. 48 Then what is [the matter] with them that they are, from the reminder, turning away 49 As though they were frightened asses 50 Fleeing from a lion? 51 Rather each one of them desires that he should be given open Books. 52 By no means. In fact they do not fear the Hereafter. 53 No! Indeed, the Qur'an is a reminder 54 Let any who will, keep it in remembrance! 55 And they will not mind unless Allah please. He is worthy to be feared and worthy to forgive. 56
