Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ When the heaven is split asunder, 1 and when the stars are scattered; 2 when the oceans are gushed forth, 3 And when the [contents of] graves are scattered, 4 then everyone will know what he has sent ahead, and what he has left behind. 5 O MAN! What is it that lures thee away from thy bountiful Sustainer, 6 Who created you, proportioned you, and balanced you? 7 In whatever form He willed, He put you together. 8 Nay! But ye do reject Right and Judgment! 9 Lo! there are above you guardians, 10 noble, writers 11 They know what you do. 12 Verily the pious shall be in Delight. 13 And indeed, the wicked will be in Hellfire. 14 They will burn therein on the Day of Judgment, 15 and which they shall not [be able to] evade. 16 They will never be able to escape from it. Would that you knew what the Day of Judgment is! 17 Again, what shall teach thee what is the Day of Doom? 18 The day on which no soul shall control anything for (another) soul; and the command on that day shall be entirely Allah's. 19
Almighty Allah's Truth.
