The people of Lut rejected the messengers. 160 when their brother Lot said to them, 'Will you not be godfearing? 161 Lo! I am a faithful messenger unto you, 162 So keep your duty to Allah and obey me. 163 "No reward do I ask of you for it (my Message of Islamic Monotheism), my reward is only from the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists). 164 Do you, in the world, want to have carnal relations with males 165 leaving your wives that your Lord created for you? Nay, but you are a people of transgressors. 166 They said: "If you cease not. O Lout (Lot)! Verily, you will be one of those who are driven out!" 167 He said: "I do detest your doings." 168 My Lord, save me and my family from [the consequence of] what they do." 169 So We delivered him and his people all together, 170 except an old woman who stayed behind, 171 Then We destroyed the others. 172 and We poured a rain [of destruction] down upon them -- and how evil was the rain which fell on those who were forewarned. 173 Verily in this is a Sign: but most of them do not believe. 174 Yet surely your Lord is mighty and powerful. 175
