Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ When the sky is split, 1 the stars are dispersed, 2 when the seas are made to burst forth, 3 And when the graves are laid open, 4 A soul will [then] know what it has put forth and kept back. 5 O man! what hath beguiled thee concerning thy Lord, the Bountiful, 6 The One Who created you, then moulded you, then made you proper? 7 having put thee together in whatever form He willed [thee to have]? 8 No indeed; but you cry lies to the Doom; 9 And indeed there are some guardians over you. 10 Noble and recording; 11 Who know (all) that ye do. 12 Indeed, the righteous will be in pleasure, 13 The wicked certainly in Hell: 14 They shall enter it on the day of judgment. 15 And will not be absent thence. 16 And what can make you know what is the Day of Recompense? 17 Then, what can make you know what is the Day of Recompense? 18 [It will be] a Day when no human being shall be of the least avail to another human being: for on that Day [it will become manifest that] all sovereignty is God's alone. 19
