Evidence (of the truth) for them is how We revived the dead earth 33 And We make therein gardens of palms and grapevines and We make springs to flow forth in it, 34 That they may eat of the fruit thereof; and their hands worked it not. Will they not, therefore, give thanks? 35 Glory be to Him Who created all the sexual pairs, of that which the earth groweth, and of themselves, and of that which they know not! 36 And a Sign for them is the Night: We withdraw therefrom the Day, and behold they are plunged in darkness; 37 And the sun runs on to a term appointed for it; that is the ordinance of the Mighty, the Knowing. 38 And the moon - We have determined for it phases, until it returns [appearing] like the old date stalk. 39 It is not for the sun to catch up with the moon, nor does the night surpass the day; and each one of them floats in its orbit. 40 Another sign for them is that We carried their offspring in the laden Ark. 41 And We have created for them similar (vessels) on which they ride. 42 And if We will, We drown them, and there is no help for them, neither can they be saved; 43 It is only by Our mercy that they are granted provision for a time. 44 When it is said to them: "Beware of what is before you and what is past, that you may be treated with kindness;" 45 and no message of their Sustainer's messages ever reaches them without their turning away from it. 46 When they are told: "Spend of what God has given you," the unbelievers say to those who believe: "Why should we feed those whom God should have fed if He pleased?" You are only in palpable error. 47 And they say: When will this promise be fulfilled, if ye are truthful? 48 They await just one scream, which will overcome them while they are involved in worldly disputes. 49 Then they will not be able to make bequest, nor they will return to their family. 50
