Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ I do call to witness the Resurrection Day; 1 and by the self accusing soul (that you will certainly be resurrected). 2 Does man think that We cannot [resurrect him and] bring his bones together again? 3 Yea! We are able to make complete his very fingertips 4 Aye! man desireth that he may sin before him. 5 He questions: "When is the Day of Resurrection?" 6 At length, when the sight is dazed, 7 And the moon shall be ecliped. 8 and the sun and the moon are brought together 9 Man will say on that Day, "Where is the [place of] escape?" 10 No, there is no refuge. 11 To your Lord, that Day, is the [place of] permanence. 12 To man will be declared on that Day that which he hath sent on and left behind. 13 Aye! man against himself shall be an enlightenment. 14 Even if he presents his excuses. 15 Move not your tongue with it, [O Muhammad], to hasten with recitation of the Qur'an. 16 It is for Us to collect it and to give you (O Muhammad SAW) the ability to recite it (the Quran), 17 So when We have recited it [through Gabriel], then follow its recitation. 18 Then upon Us is its clarification [to you]. 19 Nay, (ye men!) but ye love the fleeting life, 20 and are heedless of the Everlasting Life. 21 Some faces that Day shall be Nadirah (shining and radiant). 22 looking up to their Sustainer; 23 and some faces will on that Day be overcast with despair, 24 Knowing that there will be made to befall them some great calamity. 25 Never so, for when life withdraws into the clavicula, 26 And there will be a cry, "Who is a magician (to restore him)?" 27 He will then realise it is the parting, 28 and leg is intertwined with leg, 29 unto thy Lord that Day is the drive. 30
