Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the emissary winds, (sent) one after another 1 By the raging hurricanes, 2 by the scatterers scattering 3 then the criterion (the verses of Koran), separating 4 and those hurling a reminder 5 to provide excuses for some and to give warnings to others: 6 that whatever with which you have been warned will inevitably come to pass. 7 When the stars lose their light, 8 Heavens will rent asunder. 9 And when the mountains are carried away by wind. 10 and the appointed time to bring the Messengers together arrives, (then shall the promised event come to pass). 11 For what Day was it postponed? 12 To the Day of Judgement. 13 And what can make you know what is the Day of Judgement? 14 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 15 Did We not destroy the earlier people? 16 And We shall let them be followed by those of later times: 17 Thus do We deal with the criminals. 18 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 19 Did We not create you from contemptible water? 20 Then We placed it in a secure resting-place, 21 For a known calculated term. 22 So We proportion it-- how well are We at proportioning (things). 23 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 24 Have We not made the earth (as a place) to draw together. 25 for both the living and the dead? 26 And placed therein high mountains and given you to drink sweet water therein? 27 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 28 "Go to what you used to deny; 29 "Depart you to a shadow (of Hell-fire smoke ascending) in three columns, 30 Neither having the coolness of the shade nor availing against the flame. 31 Verily it shall cast forth sparks like unto a castle. 32 As though they were camels yellow tawny. 33 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth 34 This is a day wherein they speak not, 35 Nor given leave to make excuses. 36 On that day, woe would be those who have rejected God's revelations! 37 That is the Day of Judgement on which We have assembled you as well as all those who went before you. 38 if you have a trick, try you now to trick Me!' 39 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 40
