Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ When the heaven splits open. 1 when the stars are scattered, 2 When the oceans begin to flow, 3 And when the [contents of] graves are scattered, 4 then a soul shall know its works, the former and the latter. 5 O man! What hath made thee careless concerning thy Lord, the Bountiful, 6 Who created you then formed your symmetry, then gave you right proportion, 7 having put thee together in whatever form He willed [thee to have]? 8 Nay, but ye deny the Judgment. 9 Surely, there are guardians watching over you, 10 Generous and recording, 11 who know of all that you do. 12 Indeed the virtuous are in serenity. 13 And the Wicked - they will be in the Fire, 14 They will enter it on the Day of Justice. 15 And will not be absent thence. 16 Ah, what will convey unto thee what the Day of Judgment is! 17 How then can you comprehend what the Day of Judgement is? 18 (It will be) the Day when no soul shall have power (to do) aught for another: For the command, that Day, will be (wholly) with Allah. 19
