The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ Successful indeed are the believers; 1 Who are humble in their service, 2 and from idle talk turn away 3 those who pay the zakat; 4 and who are mindful of their chastity, 5 Except from their wives and women slaves of old are free of blame, 6 But whoever seeks beyond that, then those are the transgressors; 7 Those who are faithfully true to their Amanat (all the duties which Allah has ordained, honesty, moral responsibility and trusts etc.) and to their covenants; 8 And who guard their prayers. 9 Those are the inheritors 10 These are the heirs of Paradise wherein they will live forever. 11 We created man from the finest extract of clay, 12 Then We placed him as (a drop of) sperm in a place of rest, firmly fixed; 13 Then We made the sperm-drop into a clinging clot, and We made the clot into a lump [of flesh], and We made [from] the lump, bones, and We covered the bones with flesh; then We developed him into another creation. So blessed is Allah, the best of creators. 14 Then after that, certainly all of you are to die. 15 Then verily on the Day of Judgment ye shall be raised up. 16 We have indeed fashioned above you seven paths. Never were We unaware of the task of creation. 17 And We send down water from the skies in accordance with a measure [set by Us,] and then We cause it to lodge in the earth: but, behold, We are most certainly able to withdraw this [blessing]! 18 Then We produced for you therewith gardens of palms and vines wherein are many fruits for you, and of them you eat, 19 as well as a tree that issues from [the lands adjoining] Mount Sinai, yielding oil and relish for all to eat. 20 There is a lesson for you concerning cattle. We provide you with drink from their bellies and many other benefits. You can consume them as meat. 21 And you are carried on them and on the ship. 22
