The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the morning brightness, 1 And the night when dark and still, 2 Thy Sustainer has not forsaken thee, nor does He scorn thee: 3 And the Hereafter is better for you than the first [life]. 4 And presently thy Lord shall give unto thee so that thou shalt be well-pleased. 5 Has He not found thee an orphan, and given thee shelter? 6 Did He not find you wandering, and give you guidance? 7 And He found thee in need, and made thee independent. 8 Therefore do not oppress the orphan. 9 and do not chide the one who asks for help; 10 but proclaim the blessings of your Lord. 11
