Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
CONSIDER these [messages,] sent forth in waves 1 which then blow tempestuously 2 Which scatter clouds to their destined places, 3 then the criterion (the verses of Koran), separating 4 and then giving forth a reminder, 5 As justification or warning, 6 BEHOLD, all that you are told to expect will surely come to pass. 7 So when the stars are extinguished, 8 And when the heaven is cloven asunder. 9 and when the mountains are scattered like dust, 10 and when the messengers are brought together at the appointed time -- 11 For what day is that time fixed? 12 To the Day of Judgement. 13 And what knowest thou what the Day of Decision is? 14 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 15 Destroyed We not the former folk, 16 We will now cause the later ones to follow them: 17 As such shall We deal with the sinners. 18 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 19 Did We not create you from contemptible water? 20 Then We placed it in a secure resting-place, 21 for an appointed term? 22 See that We had the power to do so. Great indeed is Our power to do what We will. 23 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle. 25 Of the living and the dead? 26 And We placed therein lofty, firmly set mountains and have given you to drink sweet water. 27 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 28 (It will be said unto them:) Depart unto that (doom) which ye used to deny; 29 Go to the shadow with three ramifications, 30 Neither shady nor protecting against the blazing Fire. 31 that shoots sparks like dry faggots, 32 "As if there were (a string of) yellow camels (marching swiftly)." 33 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 34 That will be the Day on which they will not (be able to) utter a word, 35 Nor will they be given permission to present excuses. 36 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 37 'This is the Day of Decision; We have joined you with the ancients; 38 Now, if ye have a trick (or plot), use it against Me! 39 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 40
