3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
And Noah verily prayed unto Us, and gracious was the Hearer of his prayer 75 for We saved him and his household from that awesome calamity, 76 And his offspring! them We made the survivors. 77 We perpetuated his praise in later generations. 78 Peace be on Nuh among the worlds. 79 That is how We recompense the righteous: 80 He was one of Our believing servants. 81 Thereafter We caused the others to be drowned. 82 ۞ Abraham was one of his followers. 83 When he came to his Lord with a heart compliant, 84 When he said to his father and to his people: "What is it that which you worship? 85 Is it a falsehood - gods beside Allah - that ye desire? 86 What do you think of the Lord of the whole Universe?” 87 Then did he cast a glance at the Stars. 88 and said: “I am sick.” 89 So they turned away from him, departing. 90 Then turned he to their gods and said: Will ye not eat? 91 What is the matter with you, that you do not speak' 92 Then he turned against them secretly, smiting them with the right hand. 93 whereupon people came to him running. 94 "Why do you worship these you carve yourselves," he asked, 95 "When God has created you and what you make?" 96 They said: Build for him a building and fling him in the red-hotfire. 97 So they plotted a plot against him, but We made them the lowest. 98 Abraham said: “I am going to my Lord; He will guide me. 99 "O my Lord! Grant me a righteous (son)!" 100 So We gave him the glad tidings of a forbearing boy. 101 And when he attained the age of running with him, he said: O my son! verily I have seen in a dream that I am slaughtering thee; so look, what considerest thou? He said: O my father! do that which thou art commanded; thou shalt find me, Allah willing, of the patients. 102 Then (remember) when they both submitted to Allah’s command, and Ibrahim lay his son facing downwards. (The knife did not hurt Ismail) 103 We cried unto him: O Ibrahim 104 you have confirmed your vision' As such We recompense the gooddoers. 105 That was indeed a clear trial. 106 So We ransomed him for a great sacrifice, 107 and left for him among the later folk 108 Peace be unto Ibrahim: 109 Thus do We reward the good-doers. 110 For he was one of our believing Servants. 111 And We gave him the glad tidings of Is-haq, a prophet, and of the righteous. 112 And We blessed him and Isaac. Among the offspring of the two some did good and some plainly wronged themselves. 113
