Then, when the Messengers (the angels) came unto the family of Lout (Lot). 61 he said, "You seem to be strangers". 62 They said, "No, but we bring you news about what they disputed, 63 And we have brought unto thee the truth, and verily we say sooth. 64 Therefore go forth with your followers in a part of the night and yourself follow their rear, and let not any one of you turn round, and go forth whither you are commanded. 65 And [through Our messengers] We revealed unto him this decree: "The last remnant of those [sinners] shall be wiped out in the morn." 66 The people of the town rejoicingly 67 Exclaimed [Lot]: "Behold, these are my guests: so put me not to shame, 68 And guard against (the punishment of) Allah and do not put me to shame. 69 They (people of the city) said: "Did we not forbid you to entertain (or protect) any of the 'Alamin (people, foreigners, strangers, etc. from us)?" 70 He said: 'Here are my daughters; take them (in marriage), if you would be doing' 71 Verily by your life they were utterly confused in their (lustful) drunkenness. 72 Then the (Awful) Cry overtook them at the sunrise. 73 And We turned (the cities) upside down, and rained down on them brimstones hard as baked clay. 74 Surely in this are signs for those who examine. 75 for, behold, those [towns] stood by a road that still exists. 76 Indeed in this are signs for the believers. 77 The people of the Wood were also surely wrongdoers. 78 and We took vengeance on them. The two of them were upon a roadway manifest. 79
