No, by the moon! 32 And the night when it departs, 33 By the dawn when it lightens! 34 Indeed, the Fire is of the greatest [afflictions] 35 a warning to mortal man 36 to everyone of you, whether he chooses to come forward or to hang back! 37 Every soul is a pledge for its own deeds; 38 Except those on the Right, (i.e. the pious true believers of Islamic Monotheism); 39 (They will be) in Gardens (of Delight): they will question each other, 40 of those who were lost in sin: 41 'What thrusted you into Sakar?' 42 They will answer: "We were not among those who prayed; 43 "Nor we used to feed Al-Miskin (the poor); 44 "And we used to talk falsehood (all that which Allah hated) with vain talkers. 45 And we used to call the day of judgment a lie; 46 “Till death overcame us.” 47 And so, of no benefit to them could be the intercession of any that would intercede for them. 48 If such will be the Day of Judgment, what is the matter with them? Why do they run away from guidance, 49 As if they were alarmed donkeys 50 That had fled from a lion? 51 Rather each one of them desires that he should be given open Books. 52 Nay, verily. They fear not the Hereafter. 53 Never so, as this is a reminder. 54 So whoever pleases may mind it. 55 they will only take heed if God so wills: He is the Lord who is worthy to be feared: the Lord of forgiveness. 56
