The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ Certainly will the believers have succeeded: 1 who are submissive to God in their prayers, 2 who turn away from idle talk; 3 And who are givers of poor-rate, 4 And they who guard their private parts 5 [not giving way to their desires] with any but their spouses - that is, those whom they rightfully possess [through wedlock]: for then, behold, they are free of all blame, 6 As for those who seek beyond that, they are transgressors" 7 who are true to their trusts and their covenants, 8 to their promise, 9 and who are steadfast in their prayer. 10 Who will inherit Paradise: they will dwell therein (for ever). 11 And certainly We created man of an extract of clay, 12 Then We made him a small seed in a firm resting-place, 13 Thereafter We created the sperm a clot; then We created the clot a lump of flesh; then We created the lump of flesh bones; then We clothed the bones with flesh: thereafter We brought him forth as another creature. Blest then be Allah, the Best of creators! 14 And then, behold! after all this, you are destined to die; 15 Then will be raised up on the Day of Resurrection. 16 And We have created above you seven layered heavens, and never have We been of [Our] creation unaware. 17 And We sent down from the heaven water in measure, and We caused it to settle in the earth; and verily to take it away We are Able. 18 Then We produced for you therewith gardens of palms and vines wherein are many fruits for you, and of them you eat, 19 And created the tree that comes forth from Mount Sinai – that grows containing oil and curry for the eaters. 20 And most surely there is a lesson for you in the cattle: We make you to drink of what is in their bellies, and you have in them many advantages and of them you eat, 21 And on them, and on ships you are carried. 22
