Hizb 46
< random >
And, verily, Yunus (Jonah) was one of the Messengers. 139 when he fled like a runaway slave onto a laden ship. 140 And he drew lots and was among the losers. 141 The fish swallowed him up and he deserved (all this). 142 Now had he not been of those that glorify God, 143 He would certainly have tarried in its belly to the day when they are raised. 144 ۞ So We cast him, sick, on a barren shore, 145 We made a plant of gourd grow up for him. 146 And We sent him to [his people of] a hundred thousand or more. 147 They believed in him so We granted them enjoyment for an appointed time. 148 Now ask them their opinion: Is it that thy Lord has (only) daughters, and they have sons?- 149 Or created We the angels females while they were present? 150 Behold, it is one of their fabrications that they say: 151 'God has begotten?' They are truly liars. 152 (And again of their falsehood): He hath preferred daughters to sons. 153 What is the matter with you that you make such strange judgements? 154 Do you not understand? 155 Or is there for you a plain authority? 156 Bring your Book, if you are truthful. 157 They have established a kinship between Allah and the angels; and the angels know well that these people will be arraigned (as culprits). 158 Glorified be Allah from that which they attribute (unto Him), 159 all of them except the chosen servants of Allah. 160 So, verily you (pagans) and those whom you worship (idols). 161 can lure away from God any 162 Save him who will go to hell. 163 As for us, there is none but has an appointed station. 164 And verily we! we are ranged in ranks. 165 And we are most surely they who declare the glory (of Allah). 166 What though they would say, 167 Had we but an admonition as had the ancients. 168 We would certainly have been the servants of Allah-- the purified ones. 169 But they disbelieved in it, so they are going to know. 170 Already has Our Word been passed before (this) to our Servants sent (by Us), 171 assuredly they shall be helped, 172 and that, verily, Our hosts - they indeed - would [in the end] be victorious! 173 So you ignore them for a time 174 And wait; they will come to know soon. 175 So are they being impatient for Our punishment? 176 But when it descends into the open space before them, evil will be the morning for those who were warned (and heeded not)! 177 And turn away from them till a time 178 And watch, for they will soon see. 179 Purity is to your Lord, the Lord of Honour, from all what they say. 180 And peace upon the messengers. 181 And praise be to Allah, Lord of the Worlds! 182
Almighty God's Truth.
End of Surah: The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat). Sent down in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
