S (Saad)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Sad, and by the Qur'an full of exhortation! 1 Those who deny the truth are steeped in arrogance and hostility. 2 How many a generation have We destroyed before their time [for this very sin]! And [how] they called [unto Us] when it was too late to escape! 3 And they were surprised that a Herald of Warning came to them from among themselves; and the disbelievers said, “He is a magician, a great liar!” 4 What, has he made the gods One God? This is indeed a marvellous thing.' 5 And the leaders among them went about (saying): "Go on, and remain constant to your aliha (gods)! Verily, This is a thing designed (against you)! 6 We have not heard of this in the latest religion. This is not but a fabrication. 7 Was the message sent only to him out of all of us?" In fact, they doubt My warning; in fact, they have not yet tasted My punishment. 8 Do they have the stores of the mercy of your Lord, the mighty and munificent? 9 Do they own the heavens and the earth and all that is between them? Let them try on their own to block (the ways of heavens so that Our revelations cannot come to you). 10 this host too, among other hosts, is bound to suffer defeat. 11 The people of Noah, Ad and the dominating Pharaoh had rejected Our revelations. 12 and so did Thamud and the people of Lot and the people of Aykah. These were all leagued together. 13 Not one of them but did deny the messengers, therefor My doom was justified, 14
