Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace

Perish the hands of Abu Lahab, and perish he! 1 His wealth did not benefit him in the least, nor did whatever he earned. 2 He will suffer in a blazing fire 3 and so too will his wife who (threw thorns and firewood in the Prophet's way). 4 [who bears] around her neck a rope of twisted strands! 5

God the Almighty always says the truth.
