Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By the winds which carry dust particles, 1 And those that bear the burden (of the rain) 2 by the ships which smoothly sail on the oceans, 3 by the angels which distribute the affairs, 4 Lo! that wherewith ye are threatened is indeed true, 5 and, verily, judgment is bound to come! 6 I swear by the heaven full of ways. 7 Lo! ye, forsooth, are of various opinion (concerning the truth). 8 Turned aside therefrom (i.e. from Muhammad SAW and the Quran) is he who is turned aside (by the Decree and Preordainment of Allah). 9 Accursed be the conjecturers 10 Those who have forgotten in a state of intoxication. 11 They ask: When is the day of judgment? 12 (It is) the day on which they shall be tried at the fire. 13 (And told:) "Taste your punishment. This is what you were trying to hasten." 14 Indeed, the righteous will be among gardens and springs, 15 Taking what their Lord gives them; surely they were before that, the doers of good. 16 sleeping little in the night-time, 17 and would pray for forgiveness from their innermost hearts; 18 and in their wealth was a share for whosoever asked and for whosoever was prevented. 19 In the earth are signs for those having sure faith; 20 And also in your ownselves. Will you not then see? 21 And in the heaven is your provision and that which ye are promised. 22 for, by the Sustainer of heaven and earth, this [life after death] is the very truth - as true as that you are endowed with speech! 23
