The Key (Al-Faatehah)

7 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Hidden Secret (Al-Muddath-thir) before Thorns (Al-Masad)

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful 1

Praise belongs to God, the Lord of all Being, 2 The Merciful, the Compassionate 3 the Master of the Day of Doom. 4 It is You we worship and You we ask for help. 5 Guide us the straight way. 6 The path of those upon whom Thou hast bestowed favors. Not (the path) of those upon whom Thy wrath is brought down, nor of those who go astray. 7

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
