The Key (Al-Faatehah)

7 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Hidden Secret (Al-Muddath-thir) before Thorns (Al-Masad)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful 1

All praise is due to God alone, the Sustainer of all the worlds, 2 Most Gracious, Most Merciful; 3 Sovereign of the Day of Recompense. 4 You alone we worship, and to You alone turn for help. 5 Guide us in the straight path, 6 the path of those whom Thou hast blessed, not of those against whom Thou art wrathful, nor of those who are astray. 7

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
